History of Lewis Electric Motor

Lewis Electric Motor was founded in 1968 by Albert L. Lewis. He began by working in his basement repairing and selling electric motors and other industrial and commercial equipment. He built the first building in 1976 behind his house and then added a much larger addition in 1982.

Albert Lewis was an entrepreneur building electric motor test boards, phase converters, fish shocking equipment for state conservation departments and he designed a replacement aerator which is a product we continue to provide to customers both retail and wholesale throughout the country. He began designing the aerator unit when customers brought their old units to him for repair.

Albert’s children Alan and Diann have been a part of the this family business from the beginning and today they continue providing the same level of service that the company has provided since it began.  Their reputation continues to be one of honesty  and integrity passed on by their father.  Word of mouth is essential to our business success and an invaluable advertising tool  we appreciate the continued support of our customers.
