History of Lewis Electric Motor
Lewis Electric Motor was founded in 1968 by Albert L. Lewis. He began by working in his basement repairing and selling electric motors and other industrial and commercial equipment. He built the first building in 1976 behind his house and then added a much larger addition in 1982.
Albert Lewis was an entrepreneur building electric motor test boards, phase converters, fish shocking equipment for state conservation departments and he designed a replacement aerator which is a product we continue to provide to customers both retail and wholesale throughout the country. He began designing the aerator unit when customers brought their old units to him for repair.
When they were determined to be non-repairable he discovered that a new product purchased from the manufacturer was very expensive. So he designed a replacement unit for the after market which performed in the same manner as the original unit but at a considerably lower price. He continued to make improvements on the original design until he designed the unit we are currently selling.
